UK and India strike trade deal

 

The UK‑India trade agreement unveiled today marks a pivotal step in deepening economic ties between the two nations. By slashing tariffs across key sectors—from automotive parts to Scotch whisky—the deal is set to lift bilateral trade by an estimated £25.5 billion, deliver a £4.8 billion boost to UK GDP, and raise UK wages by £2.2 billion each year in the long run.
